The Weber Q is the most common BBQ in Australia and the range confuses everyone, because the same three cookers are sold under a dozen model numbers. Here is the whole thing in one place.
The three sizes
Baby Q (Q1000N, Q1200N). One burner, the smallest grill. Runs on the small disposable cylinder or a 9 kg bottle with an adapter. Sits on a table or its own stand. One to four people. BCF had the Q1000N at $369.
Q (Q2000N, Q2200N) and Q+ (Q2600N+, Q2800N+). One larger burner, a mid-size grill. Four to six people. The Q+ versions add a taller hood and more heat for about fifty dollars. BCF had the Q2000N at $539 and the Q2600N+ at $589.
Family Q+ (Q3100N+, Q3200N+). Two burners and a big grill, on an integrated cart, LPG or natural gas. Six to eight people, real indirect roasting. BCF had the Q3100N+ at $889.
Standard versus premium
The second digit tells you the trim. 1000, 2000, 2600, 3100 are standard. 1200, 2200, 2800, 3200 are premium: a lid thermometer and fold-out side tables, for thirty to sixty dollars more. If you roast under the hood, the thermometer earns its keep.
The two that are not in the pattern
The Q3600 is the Family Q as a built-in drop-in for outdoor kitchens. The Traveler is a different design: a larger flat grill that folds onto its own wheeled cart for the boot.

Balcony or camping: Baby Q. A couple or a small family with a patio: Q2000N on a stand, or the Q2600N+ if you roast. A family: Family Q3100N+. An outdoor kitchen on natural gas: Q3600. Constant travel: Traveler.

What is the difference between the Q1000N and the Q1200N?
Same cooker. The 1200 (and the 2200, 2800 and 3200) is the premium version with a built-in lid thermometer and fold-out side tables. Worth it if you roast; skip it if you only grill.
What does the plus mean on a Weber Q?
The Q+ models (Q2600N+, Q2800N+, Q3100N+, Q3200N+) have a taller hood and a higher-output burner than the standard Q of the same size, so roasts and whole birds fit and the grill recovers faster.
Can I get a Weber Q on natural gas?
The Family Q and the Q3600 built-in are sold in natural gas versions. The smaller Qs are LPG. Natural gas connection is licensed gasfitter work.
Are Weber Q accessories worth it?
